Professionalism in the workplace

As the Ontario College of Teachers (OCT) developed, The Standards of Practice for the Teaching Profession outlines goals that all educators should abide by to provide a conducive learning environment.

Upholding these standards of practice in the teaching profession is important, especially as educators because we are helping to shape the future. We have an important role in society and the five pillars that the OCT has set as education's standards of practice are a necessity.
